Subject: [Kundalini Yoga] Re: breathwalk
Jaya,
I'm glad you mention breathwalk!
When I can't do any other Kun.Yoga, I can do breathwalk. I like to walk. I did it yesterday.
It is quite easy - think of a pace: left foot right left right. Coordinate with that pacing:think mentally, sa-ta-na-ma, and on each beat inhale. For 5 minutes.
then - to the same 4-beat of left foot, right, left right, exhales thru nose - wa-he-gu-ru. Waheguru is spoken, satanam is silent. Do the wa-he-gu-ru- for 4 minutes. Then rest (still walking) for a few minutes. Then repeat the 5-min intervals for a total of 4 times.
I hope this is clear, once you do it believe me it is easier than trying to describe it!
Sometimes I go over 5 minutes and do it for 10 minutes, I'm sure this is ok.
The complete name of the book is Breathwalk: Breathing Your Way to a Revitalized Body, Mind and Spirit: Gurucharan Singh
There also is a website, which I found by searching under "breathwalk" but I haven't looked at it, so I don't know if the website is in coordination with the book.
Thanks Jaya,
Kartar Kaur
